Dennis has been in the grape growing industry for 20 years. His time spent in the vineyards, in a variety of distinctive growing regions throughout the Central Coast, has allowed him an in-depth knowledge of what makes each area special. From soils, to weather patterns, to specific variety, clonal and rootstock selections for each, Dennis brings an abundance of knowledge to the table.

Before starting his own vineyard management company in the 90s, Dennis worked for Martin Brothers Winery for four years. He joined Indian Valley Vineyards in 2000, where he has been responsible for the development, on-going caretaking, and loving-of Indian Valley Vineyards.

Dennis is a graduate of Cal Poly San Luis Obispo where he studied Agriculture Science with a concentration in Plant Production. Along with his dedication to the vineyards, Dennis is a full-time Paso Robles Firefighter and volunteers at the SLO County Fire Station. When not in the vineyards or at the fire house, as though that weren’t enough, Dennis can be found tinkering with his 1965 Crown Fire Coach, which has come in handy delivering water to a particularly needy portion of a vineyard. He shares his life with his wife Liz, dog Hoover and cat Garfield.
