2005 CoralIntense blue/black/purple color. Sweet aromas of blueberries and toasted vanilla emerge with hints of saddle leather and a dash of oak. Upon first impression the palate shows light chocolate mousse mixed with juicy blackberries- when aired for a bit in the glass secondary aromas and flavors of dried beef, currant and mineral shine through. Lush, chewy and juicy,Coral could benefit from a few hours of decanting.
Food Recommendations:
Coral would paired fabulously with slightly rustic dishes such as wild boar stew or venison steaks
with blackberry compote.
