2005 Cab Nation

93% Cabernet Sauvignon | 5% Merlot | 2% Cabernet Franc

Heritage is the most treasured aspect of our reverence for the lands with which we have been entrusted. Along with that heritage comes a deep respect for the highest and best use of those lands, for our generation and for those to follow.

Our 2005 Cab Nation truly reflects our commitment to those time-honored principles. Astute attention to detail in every aspect of our vineyard and winemaking operations is evidenced in this classically proportioned, hilltop Cabernet. Seductively aromatic, nearly opaque in color and robust with ripe fruit concentration, this wine displays bold flavors of blackberry, dry cherry and chocolate, with a hint of smoke and sage in the aroma.

A supple, generous wine with tremendous potential, 2005 Cab Nation shows an intricate balance between fruit, alcohol, acidity and tannins that appear in exquisite alignment. Generously nurtured for 22 months in oak casks, this wine has just begun its evolution. Rich and powerful in its concentration of character, this first release of Indian Valley Vineyards Cab Nation Cabernet Sauvignon is destined to become a long-lived wine that will cellar beautifully over the coming decade.
