Michael Bajdechi

“My mission is to consistently exceed expectations by delivering high-quality, customized wine programs and events—crafted to create memorable and engaging experiences tailored to each club/client’s unique needs.”

Michael’s passion for wine began in his youth, working at his grandfather’s winery on the Black Sea coast in Romania. This Old-World heritage continues to influence his work today, blending tradition with modern wine program design.

Upon arriving in New York, Michael entered the Food & Beverage industry, earning his Mixology License and working at high-end establishments, including the iconic Rainbow Room, where he mastered fine dining service.

In 2002, he completed a Food Service diploma at Cornell University, which led him into the Private Club Industry, where he advanced through leadership positions at prestigious golf and country clubs in New York and New Jersey.

In 2005, Michael earned his Sommelier Certification from the Sommelier Society of America, launching a new chapter of his career in wine. His ability to build dynamic wine lists and connect with world-class wineries inspired him to found In Vino Veritas Club Advisor, a consulting firm dedicated exclusively to private clubs.

Throughout his career, Michael has collaborated with renowned wineries such as Darioush Winery, The PlumpJack Collection, Ehlers Estate, The Spire Selection, Evening Land, Long Shadows, Vina Cobos, Case Base, Terralsole, Becky Wasserman Selection, and current such as Staglin Family Vineyards, Revana Family Vineyards.

He also takes pride in introducing boutique and emerging producers.

“Michael continues to elevate wine culture in his role as Wine Director by seamlessly blending Old World tradition with New World innovation. He tailors every program to the distinct character and preferences of each membership, ensuring that no two clubs share the same experience. Through curated tastings, educational programs, and innovative events, Michael enhances member engagement, strengthens community, and sets each club apart with a wine culture that is both authentic and forward-thinking.”
