About Lerner Project
A family-owned Napa Valley winery built on decades of collecting, relationships, and an uncompromising commitment to quality.
Proprietor Stu Lerner spent decades immersed in Napa Valley through the wine industry supply chain building relationships with many of the region’s most respected names while also collecting some of the valley’s most sought-after wines. After retiring, he and Karen Lerner turned a long-held dream into a real winery.
Today, alongside winemaker and partner Russell Bevan, Lerner Project exists for one purpose: to craft limited-production wines without compromising on quality wines they’d be proud to buy, pour, and share with friends and family.
A lifelong builder and connector in the Napa Valley ecosystem, Stu’s approach to Lerner Project is hands-on and artisan by design, focused on doing it the right way, not the easy way.
Winemaker - Russell Bevan
Russell Bevan’s career has been defined by obsessive focus, vintage-to-vintage precision, and a track record of top critical recognition. At Lerner Project, that same intensity is applied to vineyard character, mountain structure, and long-term cellar potential.
